SNARE Documentation and Support Information
Below are a list of publically available documentation and resource
guides to assist you with your implementation of the SNARE Server and
Agents.
SNARE Server User
Guide - This guide aims to provide users of the SNARE Server with
the tools to be able to understand and work with it. Users expecting
to work on the SNARE Server should familiarize themselves with this
document
SNARE
Server Troubleshooting Guide - This is the troubleshooting guide
for the Snare Server. It allows users of the Snare Server to fault find
common problems and undertake remedial actions to ensure the Snare Server
works optimally.
Guide to SNARE
for Windows - This guide introduces you to the functionality of
SNARE with a Windows operating environment. The development of 'SNARE
for Windows' will now allow for events logs collected by the Windows
NT/2000/2003/XP operating systems (including USB device notifications),
to be forwarded to a remote audit event collection facility. SNARE for
Windows will also allow a security administrator to fully remote control
the application through a standard web browser if so desired.
Guide to
SNARE Epilog for Windows - This guide introduces you to the functionality
of the SNARE Epilog for Windows. SNARE Epilog for Windows facilitates
objective-based filtering, and remote audit event delivery of text-based
log files for Windows based systems. SNARE Epilog for Windows will also
allow a security administrator to fully remote control the application
through a standard web browser if so desired.
Guide to SNARE for
Linux - This guide introduces you to the functionality of the SNARE
Agent for the Linux operating system. SNARE for Linux provides a C2-style
auditing subsystem for the Linux operating system, and facilitates objective-based
filtering, and remote audit event delivery. SNARE for Linux will also
allow a security administrator to fully remote control the application
through a standard web browser if so desired
Guide to SNARE
Epilog for Unix - This guide introduces you to the functionality
of the SNARE Epilog for UNIX. SNARE Epilog for UNIX facilitates objective-based
filtering, and remote audit event delivery of text-based log files for
Linux and Solaris based systems. SNARE Epilog for UNIX will also allow
a security administrator to fully remote control the application through
a standard web browser if so desired.
Guide to SNARE
for IRIX - This guide introduces the functionality of the SNARE
Agent for the IRIX operating system. SNARE for IRIX wraps the default
IRIX auditing subsystem, and facilitates objective-based filtering,
and remote audit event delivery. SNARE for IRIX will also allow a security
administrator to fully remote control the application through a standard
web browser if so desired. SNARE has been designed in such a way as
to allow the remote control functions to be readily effected manually,
or by an automated process
Guide to
SNARE for Solaris - This guide introduces you to the functionality
of the SNARE Agent for the Solaris operating system. SNARE for Solaris
wraps the default Solaris BSM auditing subsystem, and facilitates objective-based
filtering, and remote audit event delivery. SNARE for Solaris will also
allow a security administrator to fully remote control the application
through a standard web browser if so desired.
Guide to SNARE
for AIX - This guide introduces you to the functionality of the
SNARE Agent for the AIX operating system. SNARE for AIX wraps the default
AIX auditing subsystem, and facilitates objective-based filtering, and
remote audit event delivery. SNARE for AIX will also allow a security
administrator to fully remote control the application through a standard
web browser if so desired.
